Oppo Find X9 Pro: In-Depth Review and the Madness of Its Optical Teleconverter

Index
The high-end Android market keeps setting the bar higher, and this year Oppo decided to shake things up. I had the opportunity to thoroughly test the new Oppo Find X9 Pro, a device that not only stands toe to toe with giants like the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra or the iPhone 17 Pro but also brings along a couple of tricks up its sleeve that blew my mind: an outrageous 7500 mAh battery and a game-changing photography accessory ecosystem.
This year's lineup is solidified with the base model (Find X9), this gem of balance that is the Find X9 Pro, and an Ultra model focused on niche photography. But let's talk about what matters to us today: the Pro, the phone that promises to be the smartest purchase in the series.
Design and Measurements: Premium and Surprisingly Comfortable
At first glance, the X9 Pro breathes minimalism. Oppo opted for completely flat edges and silky matte finishes that repel fingerprints very well. The available colors are Titanium Charcoal and Titanium Gray for those seeking something sober, and the star of this generation: Velvet Red. The latter is that spectacular reddish tone that, depending on how light hits it, gives off super bold pink/magenta flashes that break the boredom of traditional grays.
Despite the gigantic energy capacity inside, the engineering work is commendable. The phone has a thickness of only 8.25 mm. Its ultra-thin 1.15 mm bezels make the screen take advantage of almost the entire front. However, all that glass and metal take a toll on the scale: it weighs 224 grams. It's a hefty device, but the excellent ergonomics compensate when holding it.
Moreover, the resistance has reached the maximum level: it has IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications, meaning it withstands immersion, dust, and even high-pressure and high-temperature water jets.

ProXDR Display: Shining at the Top
The front is dominated by a 6.78-inch AMOLED LTPO panel with a 2K resolution (450 ppi).
The numbers don't lie: it features a dynamic refresh rate of 120Hz and a beastly peak brightness level of 3600 nits. Add to that full compatibility with Dolby Vision, high-frequency protection to care for your eyesight, and impeccable stereo speakers. Consuming content or editing photos in bright midday sunlight on this screen is an absolute pleasure.

Performance and Hardware: MediaTek Power
This is where the X9 Pro proudly stands without fear of anyone. Inside beats the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9500, manufactured at 3 nanometers.
For intensive productivity tasks or gaming with maximum graphics, this chip performs over 30% better than the previous generation, optimizing consumption thanks to Oppo's Trinity Engine. It comes with configurations of 12 GB or 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and ultra-fast UFS 4.0 storage of up to 1 TB.
Regarding biometrics, the under-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader is huge, and unlocking is instant. They also added the Bionic Haptic engine, achieving precise vibrations that make the system feel premium with every touch.

Battery: Insanely Long-lasting
Folks, this is pure madness and perhaps the most significant selling point of the device.
Oppo managed to fit a 7500 mAh battery (using third-generation silicon-carbon technology) into a traditional phone body. You can record hours in 4K, leave the GPS open, consume multimedia, and the device won't ask for a plug until the next day. And when you need it, the 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging solve the problem in minutes. It's the autonomy king of 2026.

Hasselblad Master Camera System
The rear module follows its successful association with Hasselblad and brings us spectacular hardware:
Main Lens: 50 MP (massive 1/1.28" sensor) with f/1.5 aperture and optical stabilization. Ultra Wide Angle: 50 MP with a wide 120° field of view. Periscopic Telephoto: The real monster. A huge 200 MP sensor (1/1.56") with a focal length equivalent to 70mm, providing incredible sharpness for digital cropping or macro photography at 10 cm.
A hardware novelty designed for photographers is the new Snap Key, a physical quick-action button on the side frame that allows you to open the camera instantly, so you never miss a spontaneous shot. The only downside is that video is limited to 4K at 60fps; there are no 4K at 120fps formats, which is a shame given the hardware capabilities.

The Optical Teleconverter: Breaking the Rules
And here we arrive at the accessory that justifies the hype. Oppo launched a spectacular kit: the Hasselblad 300mm Explorer Teleconverter.
It's a precision-engineered metal and glass physical accessory that anchors directly onto the phone's rear module with a special case.
By mounting this optical block onto the massive 200 MP telephoto camera, you achieve a nearly true 10x optical zoom (300mm). You can do nature or street photography without resorting to digital cropping that destroys quality. It gives you the weight and tactile sensation of using an analog camera. For content creators, this accessory is an absolute game-changer.

Software: ColorOS 16
The device comes with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. It's a super smooth system integrating powerful tools like latency-free Screen Mirroring and robust anti-theft security measures to lock the device within seconds.
Comparison: Oppo Find X9 Pro vs. Competition
To put into perspective where we stand, I assembled this table comparing the Find X9 Pro against the two absolute kings of the current high-end range. Look at the brutal difference in battery.
Verdict: Is It the Best Android of the Moment?
The Oppo Find X9 Pro is a formidable engineering feat. Its nearly inexhaustible 7500 mAh battery, the power of the Dimensity 9500, and the monumental leap in photography thanks to the 200 MP telephoto sensor and teleconverter position it in a place of privilege. If your work, life, or passion involves creating top-tier content without being tethered to a charger, the Find X9 Pro justifies every cent of its price.
